Paula’s Pet Pantry
Paula’s Pet Pantry is dedicated to supporting the well-being of pet families in the San Diego communities of Ocean Beach and the Point Loma Peninsula. Given the deep bond and interdependence that exists, our vision is to enhance the quality of life for pets while also supporting the mental and emotional well-being of their pet parents.
Through your donations of pet food and supplies, together we can ensure that no dog or cat goes hungry, and that pet parents facing hardship have access to essential pet food and supplies.
Programs & services
We focus on three areas:
Pet food assistance: Providing free dog and cat food to individuals and families.
Pet supplies assistance: Providing new and gently used pet supplies.
Partnerships & collaborations: Working with food pantries, local shelters, veterinarians, and pet-friendly businesses to expand support efforts.
How you can help
Take a look at the list of donation items below, and if you’d like to donate any items we have two options for you: pick up or drop off.
Pick up: We come to you! Text Paula at 310.227.3411 with what you’d like to donate along with a date, time, and address.
Drop off: Take your donations to West Coast Paddle Sports, located at 1105 Rosecrans St. Go to the register and tell them you’re dropping off for Paula’s Pet Pantry.
Once we receive them, we deliver them to our partners, who put them directly in the hands (and paws!) that need them most.
Donation items
Pet food: While new bags and cans of pet food are preferred, what if you just bought food or treats for your pet, only to find that they hate them? Since you can’t return them to the store, we’ll happily get it to a pet in need!
New or gently used items: Collars, harnesses, leashes, beds, toys, bowls, and any other pet supplies. No glass containers please.
